Oh, don't worry its easy once you get it! ^.^ *huggle* Alright... so you have the form completed and everything right? Once you do that, make sure you have it copied so you can move around without losing it. Just press Ctrl + Z after highlighting everything you've typed XD

After that... on the Your Characters board, I'm sure you know where it is, on the main page... do you see the sub-board titled Pending? Click on that. It's going to ask you for a password. You can find it in the CAC page. Since you've read over it, you should know it but if you can't find it tell me and I'll help =3

Once you type in the password, you just click new thread and post your character ^^ After which, you just wait for Willow to accept your character and move it to the Accepted board ^^

Hope that helps =3 Any questions, feel free to ask ^^

Mmhmm... Not to bring up old threads... but Muffinz has a question xDD *waveshandfrantically*

After your character has been accepted, are you allowed to change the bio or so? Say like... Hazel's history is expanding... with evil plans and everything... is Muffinz allowed to tack more info on Hazel's bio?
Or say that eventually Mier learns his power, would Muffinz be changing the power thing on the bio or so? merp?

Good question.

Yeah, you can change your bio. I would post a reply to the thread with what you edited and ask if it's ok. Or you can just pm me with what you changed and ask me there. Either way is fine. =)

Ah ha!!! (andmuffinzwillkeepfiringquestionsthathekeepsremembering)

You see, Muffinz is saying this because the biggest thing about the member-loner unbalance is the fact that it's a really big hassle to a lot of the loner characters to join a pack because it's simply not their personality to go begging around for one.
Wolves like Riyalli and such would never beg to join a pack, nor would they have a reason to join a pack in the first place. At least for most the loners lying around, they really don't want to be part of a pack (or are busy doing something else), which makes it rather hard for them to actually join a pack.

It's a hard thing for us members to go through the process of becoming part of a pack xDDD and especially the newer ones of us. Muffinz remembers that at first when he joined, it seemed just must simpler to be a loner because there were no Alphas that had a possiblity of hurting or injuring your new character (it's a scary aspect to new members) or long speeches that were needed to convince that Alpha why your character should be a member of their pack.

teehee... even now... it's pretty hard to figure out what to do with shy characters like Aayelin joining the Aaels because it's so hard to figure out what to say since she's "supposed" to be mute even though Muffinz made her talk just out of desperation... though Muffinz isn't sure if it's right to make her talk again...

So the question is: Can we put a pack on the application if you want your character to be part of a pack?

Note: Be prepared for a very, very long answer.

Omg I was just thinking of maybe doing that today! Like I was working on the Aaels/Veldrins guide and how your wolf can already be part of the pack and I thought maybe I should do that for the rest of the packs... That settles it. For sure.

As for the rest of your stuff, though... I disagree.

Today someone asked me this in a pm:

Quote:

Quote:
If you walk into another packs territory, we all know that you will either be kick out, injured, and maybe even killed. But how do you join a pack if that happens?

The proper way to join a pack is to stand at the border, out of the lands, and howl to the pack, asking to join. The alpha should come and the wolf can explain their reasons and such. Then the alpha can accept or deny. If they hate you, they can chase you away.

However, many wolves simply walk into the pack's territory. Think of it this way:

If you want to come into a stranger's house with a fence and gate around it, you don't just ignore their warning signs and break in. How rude would that be! They'd probably call the cops on you. Instead, you make a call at the gate and talk to them and wait for them to come let you in (or, in this case, howl).

When a wolf intrudes on a pack's territory, it's not much different.

So, of course, the best path of action is to simply not intrude in the first place!

However, if it's too late and your wolf already intruded, the best thing to do is to try to reason with the Alphas and be very apologetic.

Note also that it varies for different packs. For example, a goody pack's warnings will not be as hostile. The equivelent is a friendly house with "Welcome" signs. Although intruding is still very rude, they probably won't even injure you for doing so if you don't attack them and all.

Neutral packs will probably get you to leave, although if you're nice and stuff they might let you join.

Dark packs? They are the kind of people who would leave signs like "Intruders will be shot on sight". You'll be really lucky if they let you out alive, much less let you join!

Hope I answered your question.

See, wolves aren't like we portray them on TWR. It is unusual for them to be loners.

You said that "Wolves like Riyalli and such would never beg to join a pack, nor would they have a reason to join a pack in the first place".

Wrong. Wolves can hunt only little prey on their own. That's why it's so ridiculous for pups to survive by themselves. They can catch small prey, like mice or rabbits, but they need at the LEAST 2.5 pounds per day, at least 5 pounds to be able to have pups. They rarely eat every day and instead eat around 22 pounds at a time.

That might seem easy to aquire, considering how capable wolves are. But if they find food, who says they'll catch it all the time? And are they going to spend all of their time hunting? They don't eat small pickings every now and then like us. They hunt something big together and eat a bunch to save for later.

Food is not the only reason wolves would join a pack. A big reason is it's their nature. Wolves are instinctively drawn to packs. They also like company. So do people! Even if you're a really shy person, you couldn't stand to live by yourself and never interact. It'd drive you crazy. Who says wolves are so different?

Besides, what about shelter? What about the desire to live somewhere, to be part of a pack?

And as for the newbies' fear of being injured... Duh times one hundred. That's absolutely ridiculous! Intruding on a pack will get you injured, not asking to join!!! So don't intrude! Who says you have to intrude to join a pack? Like my answer to the other question... You don't just barge into someone's house. You knock.

*bangsheadonkeyboard*

As for the pride thing...you don't have to beg. You just have to be respectful. Even dark, arrogant wolves can be loyal or respectful to alphas. And if it's impossible for them to be...then they probably won't survive in a pack long at all.

Like Riyalli? Sure, she's pretty annoyed with the whole "perfect" Snowdawn thing, but if she wanted to join a pack, she wouldn't be all sarcastic. She's at home as a Beta. She's perfectly fine with respecting an Alpha if she likes them.

I'd think you'd be more scared of being a loner than with a pack. A wolf is a lot safer in a pack than by themself!
